HM SERIES High Pressure Homogenizer
Overview
The high-pressure homogenizers are used to break down the fat globules in a food product, producing stable emulsions with smaller particle size. We offer the ideal solution for small and medium scale process lines (capacity from 600 to 3,000 l/h) up to 250 bar pressure. The machines are designed as simple construction for ready-to-use and low maintenance.
The homogenizers are horizontally mounted 3-plunger positive displacement pump with built-in two stage homogenizing valves. Homogenizing pressure is controlled by a manual handwheel. The plungers are made of ceramic with high resistance of abrasion and corrosion.
Constructed to improve the process performance and reduce operating costs, these machines feature mono-block pump, an integrated design of cylinders, pump valves, plunger lubrication and inlet/outlet in one block. The limited number of parts and the simplified construction allow a simple use and maintenance. The design and surface finish of the parts ensure safe sanitary execution for optimized CIP of machine parts that come into contact with the processed product.
Application
- Commonly used in dairy products, milk, yogurt, ice cream, butter, etc. As well as food and beverage, such as soymilk, egg products, fruit juices and sauces.
Features
- Two-stage homogenizing valve - to improve the homogenizing effect.
- Hygienic design - separated wet and drive-end parts.
- Splash-lubricated crankcase made in high-quality cast iron.
- One-piece forged pump block - hygienic and durable against cracks.
- Driven movement features a combination of belt and pulley speed reduction for minimum wear and long operating life.
- High efficiency electrical motor.
- Pulsation dampers - to prevent potential pipe hammer and vibration.
Function
- Enhance the viscosity of the product.
- Enhance the stability and the shelf life.
- Improve the texture for smoother mouth feel.
- Decrease the use of additives.
- Keep unchanged color and taste.
Working Principle
First, the product enters the machine through the inlet pipe. The plugers pressurize the product at the homogenizing pressure. The high pressure pushes the product through the small annular gap of the homogenizing device. Then the pressure is transformed into high velocity, generating extreme turbulence and cavitation. This reduces the size of the fat globules and particles in the product. Then the uniform dispersed product exits through the outlet pipe.
